About the Library Media Specialist
Mrs. DiMartino
Hello! My name is Erin DiMartino and I am your child’s Library Media Specialist. During our time spent together, your child will be listening to stories, learning about books, authors and text features, gaining digital literacy skills, and becoming independent lifelong learners. They will also be checking out books!
I am so happy to be here at Post Road School. Being a part of a child's library experience is a very special job. The memories of visiting my school library is something that has continued with me. I am proud to be a part of the memories the students at Post Road will make, reading books, doing research and using technology. It is my hope that all of the students (and staff!) love visiting the Library Media Center and that the children will become lifelong readers and learners.
I grew up in Amherst, NY, a suburb near Buffalo. I attended St. Bonaventure University, where I earned a teaching degree in Elementary Education. I began teaching right after graduation in 1995, moved to the Bronx and gained a Master's Degree in Gifted and Talented Education in 2000 from the College of New Rochelle.
After my 3 daughters were born, I spent some time at home with them. Upon returning to teaching, I received a Master's Degree from the University at Albany in Library Science. I am fortunate and grateful to have found Post Road School to continue my career!
Please feel free to email me at erindimartino@wpcsd.k12.ny.us or call me at 914-422-2117 with any questions or concerns. I am here for your children, your family, and the Post Road community.
